🌿 The Legend of Super Boof: The Hilarious Origin Behind the 2024 Strain of the Year 🚀

Was just organizing my seed vault today and stumbled upon the absolute standout of the decade, had to share it with you all! 🤩 Welcome back, fellow growers and the Smile Seed Bank family. Today, we’re breaking down the champion that took home Leafly's Strain of the Year in 2024 🏆

We’re talking about the legendary "Super Boof". Let's dive into its origins, its deeply ironic name, and why it has taken the modern cannabis cultivation and extraction scenes by absolute storm

.

From Blockberry to Super Boof 🧬 The story kicked off in 2019 when an independent California breeder named Blockhead crossed the heavy-hitting Black Cherry Punch with the citrus-forward Tropicana Cookies

.

He originally named this creation "Blockberry". The magic truly happened when a Michigan-based grower and influencer named Mobilejay hunted through over 200 Blockberry plants to find the ultimate phenotype

.

He found a plant so incredibly frosty and loud that he ironically dubbed it "Super Boof" (since "boof" usually means low-grade weed) to emphasize just how ridiculously premium this cut actually was

.

What Makes It So Awesome? 🍒🍊

Top-Shelf Bag Appeal: Super Boof produces chunky, dense flowers heavily caked in silvery trichomes. The buds beautifully display deep forest greens dappled with rich, dark purple hues

.

The Hash Maker's Dream: Thanks to its large trichome heads and brittle stalks, this strain is an elite "washer". It dumps insane amounts of resin, making it highly prized for solventless extraction

.

Explosive Flavor Profile: Dominated by Myrcene, Limonene, and Caryophyllene, it hits your nose with sharp grapefruit and orange zest, followed by sweet cherry dough and an earthy, funky finish

.

Perfectly Balanced High: As a 50/50 hybrid testing between 26-32% THC, it delivers the ultimate functional flow state 🚀. Expect an uplifting, giggly head rush that melts into soothing, full-body relaxation
